Project availability is determined after reviewing the scope, project location, jurisdictional requirements and required engineering disciplines. Additional insurance or specialty clearance may be required before contract or production.

Proposal and payment policy

  • No payment is required before scope and availability review and acceptance of a written proposal.
  • Projects at or below $3,000: 100% before production after proposal acceptance.
  • Projects from $3,001-$25,000: 60% deposit; balance before final sealed issuance.
  • Projects above $25,000: 50% deposit, 30% at coordinated draft, 20% before final issuance.
  • Rush service: 40% premium when accepted in writing.
  • Site visits, surveying, geotechnical work, testing, laboratory services, and scope changes are separately priced.

Turnaround control

Complete qualified requests received during operating hours target a same-business-day scope response. The written proposal confirms the production start, required intake, responsible-professional availability, review milestones, and final issuance date before payment.

Scope boundary

Highly dynamic rotating machinery, impact equipment, blast or hazardous facilities, vibration isolation, fatigue, geotechnical investigation, testing, scanning, surveying, installation, and specialized vibration analysis are excluded unless qualified specialists accept them.

Engineering services are performed under the responsible charge of the appropriately licensed Grand Street Engineering professional for the applicable project and jurisdiction. Grand Street Engineering does not offer after-the-fact sealing, rubber stamping, or a stamp-only service.

Owner, equipment, geometry, criteria, or scope changes require a written change order. Final issuance remains subject to professional review and required payment.

Can you design from equipment weight alone?

Usually not. Horizontal, overturning, dynamic, center-of-gravity, baseplate, and anchor information may be essential.

Is an existing slab automatically adequate?

No. Adequacy depends on reliable slab, reinforcement, support, condition, loading, and equipment information.

Do you handle vibration analysis?

Not in the initial static-equipment offer unless a specifically experienced professional accepts the dynamic scope.

Can vendors or millwrights request a fixed quote?
